Ruth J. Adorno, 83 of Collinsville, Ill., born Aug. 26, 1933 in Carlyle Ill., passed away at 12:17 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, 2016 at the University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Edwardsville, Ill.
Ruth retired after 43 years as a legal secretary in New York. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Ill. She was a very devoted and beloved aunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Adorno, whom she married on Aug. 10, 1957; her parents, Fred and Olivia, nee Krebs, Junker; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Andrew and Rosana Adorno; two brothers, Joseph and Robert Junker; and a sister, Patricia Rice.
Surviving are four nieces, Brenda Hanvey of Maryville, Ill., Jan (Cary) Kopczynski of Issaquah Wash., Jane (Richard) Sessler of Bothel, Wash., and Sandra Leuhrs of Texas; two nephews, Craig (Barbara) Rice of Blue Eye Mo., and Steve (Barbara) Junker of Las Vegas, Nev.; plus many great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at the funeral home with Father John Beveridge officiating.
