Sharon Maxwell Henkel, nee Sandberg, 68, of Beckemeyer, Ill., born Feb. 21, 1947, in Fort Dix, N.J., died Jan. 20, 2016, at her residence.
Sharon was a self-employed graphic designer. She was a member of Delta Psi Omega, Dramatics Fraternity, past president of Toastmasters International, National Speakers Association, Direct Marketing Association of America, and the Art Director's Club of St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Henkel; and her parents, Ralph and Pauline, nee Wessel, Sandberg.
Surviving are her daughters, Misty Lynn Thompson of Pleasant Grove, Utah and Mindi (Brian) Emmons of Franklin, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Savahna Taylor, Zoe Emmons, Jaden Rossean, Rylee Thompson and Audrey Emmons; her siblings, Madelyn (Frank) Hellige of Breese, Ill., and Tina (Casey) Batha of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; and her nieces and nephews, Andy Hellige, Renee Henkel, Julie Benhoff, Virginia, Cari, and Casey Jr., Batha.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Roger Karban officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at St. Anthony Cemetery, Beckemeyer, Ill.
