Shirley M. Files, nee Ketchum, 89, of Freeburg, Ill., born Saturday, Feb. 5, 1927, in Indianapolis, Ind., died Monday, March 7, 2016, at Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, Ill.
Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Smithton, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus "Corky" Files; a son, William Smith; a daughter, Claudine Thomlinson; her parents, Harry and Lillian, nee Watkins, Ketchum; two brothers, Bernard Ketchum, and Paul Ketchum; and two sisters, Mary Tunstall, and Charlotte Anderson.
Surviving are her children, Nora (David Beshears) Files of Freeburg, Ill., Myra Smith of Centralia, Ill., Jean (Rick) Pinkston of Hoyleton, Ill., Roger (Theresa) Smith of Salem, Ill., Charlotte Files of Belleville, Ill., and Sheila (Harold) Knuckles of Nashville, Ill.; her brothers, Bob (Della) Ketchum of Heber Springs, Ark., and Richard (Nita) Ketchum of Arkansas; her sisters, Barbara Bruner of Ocala, Fla., Nancy Manning of Indianapolis, Ind.; and many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Smithton, Ill., with Rev. Robert Endsley officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
