Stanley Michael Panek, 75, of O'Fallon, Ill., born Sept. 16, 1940 in Baraki Nowe, Poland, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at home.
Mr. Panek was a machinist for Continental Can in St. Louis, Mo., for 25 years. He then worked and retired from Tower Automotive in Granite City, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoni and Genowefa Panek.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon; and four children, Steve Panek of O'Fallon, Ill., Dawn Lance of Belleville, Ill., Robert (Karen) Mank of O'Fallon, Ill., and Melissa Panek of OFallon, Ill.; six grandchildren, Zach, Micah, Jack, Ryan, Katie and Vonner; a sister, Jane (Danny) Wondolowski; and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Hope or Animal Rescue of Southern Illinois. Donations will also be received at church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.KalmerMemorialServices.com, who will be handling the arrangements.
Services: A memorial visitation will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, at First Baptist Church in OFallon, Ill.
