Stella L. Van Hook, 91, of Collinsville, Ill., born August 9, 1924, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home, Lebanon, Ill.
Stella retired from the Montgomery Ward after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Ill., where she belonged to the Methodist Church Priscilla Circle.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Richard Van Hook, whom she married on June 29, 1946, in Collinsville, Ill.; her parents, George and Leta, nee Watson, Britt; her son, Richard G. Van Hook; and her sister, Frances Kirkpatrick.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Meadows (Ron Spears) of Collinsville, Ill.; her sisters, Evelyn Meni of Troy, Ill., and Ruth Manning of Florida; her grandchildren, Claire (Brad) Clark, Robert (Rolando) Van Hook, Sara Davis and Bridgett (Shawn) Yeager; and her six great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Mark Horn officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
