Terry Russell Greathouse, 65, of Granite City, Ill., born Sept. 20, 1947, in Granite City, Ill., passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Greathouse retired in 2008, from Illinois-American Water with more than 40 years of dedicated service as a general foreman, followed by five years of service with Kaskaskia Engineering as a project manager. The United States Army veteran proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 877 in Granite City, Ill., and enjoyed his days of fishing. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Minnie, nee Keel, Greathouse; two brothers, David Lee and Doug Greathouse; and his father-in-law, Glenwood Cory.
Surviving are his beloved wife and their 44 years of memories together, Sharon Kay, nee Cory, Greathouse; one son, Terry Russell Cory of St. Louis, Mo.; sister and brother-in-law, Ellie Mae and Don Vleck of Collinsville, Ill.; mother-in-law, Jessie Champion of Granite City, Ill.; three sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandra Gibson of Chester, Ill., G. Sue and Jack Palmer of Granite City, Ill., and Rebecca Champion of Granite City, Ill.; his cherished dog, Inky; many nieces; nephews; special neighbor and friend, Alan Nunn; other extended family and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call in celebration of his life from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11,2013, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
