Thomas Bentley, 83, of Belleville, Ill., died at 1:56 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Terrace on the Park in Mascoutah, Ill.
Mr. Bentley was born July 19, 1932, in San Diego, Calif., but raised in Tucson, Ariz. He received a master's degree in architecture. He worked internationally as a diplomatic representative for the U.S. Government and was a volunteer for the Peace Corps during its' first deployment during the Kennedy Administration.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Carlota, nee Weinheimer, Bentley.
Surviving are his wife, Linda, nee Underwood, Bentley, whom he married on Dec. 28, 1995; two children, Thomas (Kate) Bentley of Alaska and Carlota (Dan) Sinclair of Oregon; a grandchild, Sophia Sinclair of Oregon; a special nephew, John (Gail) Bentley of Tucson, Ariz.; and a special friend, Rick (Ann Marie) Burns of Oregon.
