Vernon Howard Davis, 87, of Dupo, Ill., born Nov. 26, 1928 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016 at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Davis retired from Day Bright Lighting Company in St. Louis, Mo. He was a member Calvary General Baptist Church in Dupo, Ill., and he was a United States Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, nee Surber, Davis; his parents, Fred and Lila, nee Jones, Davis; and brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his son, Dennis Davis, his daughter, Shirley Davis, his daughter, Vicki (Bill) Tutor, his son, Danny (Debbie) Davis and his son, Rick Davis; his sister, Faye Morris, his brother, Ronnie Davis, his sister, Marilyn, his brother, Gerald Davis and his brother, Arlie Davis. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with Rev. Gale Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
