Vicki Joyce Hess, 70 of Edwardsville, Ill., born Jan. 30, 1946 in Kennett, Mo., passed away at 7:26 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at her residence.
Vicki was a retired administrative assistant to Congressman Dick Gephardt, and also worked as a jewelry specialist at Macy's. She was an avid golfer, loved gardening, was a published poet, a painter and novelist. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals, walking on the beach, and had a great sense of humor. She was in love with her family and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and G. Gertrude, nee McDonald, Clubb; her first husband, James T. Watt; and her second husband, Norman Hess.
Surviving are a daughter, Kimberli (Robert) Douty of Maryville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Douty; a sister at heart, Sandie Nobus of Belleville, Ill.; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
