Vincent "Vince" Starko, 61, of Granite City, Ill., born October 27, 1954, in Granite City, Ill., passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at his home.
Vince retired in 2014, after serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Granite City Waste Water Treatment Plant. Vince enjoyed motorcycle riding, wood working, and was an avid Chicago Bears Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Betty, nee Jackson, Starko; and a brother, Alex Starko.
Surviviving are his wife, Suzanne "Sue," nee Holten, Starko of Granite City, Ill., whom he married March 27, 1998, in Edwardsville, Ill., although they have celebrated union since 1987; three sons, Jason Starko of Pekin, Ill., Benjamin (April) Starko of Maryville, Ill., and Josh (Elizabeth) DuBoise of Rangely, Colo.; four grandchildren, Sonny, Indigo, Ty and Logan Starko; brother, Michael Starko of Granite City, Ill., ;sister, Elizabeth (John) Lengyel of Granite City, Ill.; and numerous friends and family that loved him.

Funeral: The family will hold a celebration of Vince's life from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at the Mexican Honorary Commission, Granite City, Ill. Cremation will be held.
