Vivian L. Thoma Daab, 85, of Columbia, Ill., was born Dec. 10, 1928, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Oak Hill Care Center, Waterloo, Ill.
Mrs. Daab was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, Ill., and American Legion Post 581 Auxiliary, Columbia, Ill.
She had been a medical assistant at Dr. Gebhardt's office and a clerk at Weilbacher's Department Store in Columbia, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Elmer and Lillian, nee Lewis, Chaffin; first husband, Frank A. Thoma; second husband, Vernon "Stein" Daab; daughter, Theresa Thoma; and sisters, Dorothy Haynes, Shirley Birkner and Veda Mae Shawver.
Surviving are daughter, Judy (Dan) Lecocq of Murphysboro, Ill., son, Robert (Gail) Thoma of Columbia, Ill., daughter, Virginia Stumpf of Columbia, Ill., son, Harold (Mary Jo) Thoma of Columbia, Ill.; stepdaughter, Marlene (Carol) Daab of Columbia, Ill., stepson, Fred Daab of Spartanburg, S.C.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 411 Palmer Rd., Columbia, Ill., with Father Carl Scherrer officiating. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Columbia, Ill.
