Warren Edward Whiteside, 69, of Overland Park, Kan., born on Sept. 1, 1947 in St. Louis, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
He worked in the restaurant industry, ending his career at The Olive Garden. He loved family, football, Christmas, giving hugs, playing flashlight tag and chocolate.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, James and Faye, nee Dixon, Whiteside.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen, nee Gisher, Whiteside; son, Heath (Cheryl) Whiteside; daughters, Heather Whiteside and Kim Woodruff; brother, Wayne (Linda) Whiteside; grandchildren, Lily and Mason; and many nieces and nephews and other family members.
We love you and will miss your adventurous spirit.

Funeral: Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at the Lake View Funeral Home with burial following in the Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
