Wayne A. "Wayno" Staggs, 64, of Roxana, Ill., formerly of Granite City, Ill., born Nov. 12, 1951, in Catron, Mo., passed away Monday, March 29, 2016, at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
He worked at U.S. Steel with 28 years of dedicated
service as a millwright. He was a member of the Granite City Masonic Lodge 877. He loved his days working in his garage on his truck and motorcycle. He enjoyed reading westerns and cherished spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by a grandbaby, Marie; his parents, Russell and Hazel, nee Haddock, Staggs; a brother, Harry "Glen" Staggs; and a sister, Geneva "Allene" Pence.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years, Rosie M., nee Stout, Staggs, whom he married on Oct. 28, 1972, in Granite City, Ill.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy Wilson of Granite City, Ill., and Mindy and Andrew Lugge of Glen Carbon, Ill.; two grandchildren, Logan Wilson, and Jacob Lugge; a grandson on the way, Christopher Lugge; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Russell "J.T." Staggs of Granite City, Ill., Charles and Ruth Staggs of New York and Johnny Staggs of Granite City, Ill.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Wanda and Denny Bucklew of Troy, Ill., Sharon Risinger of Granite City, Ill., and Patti and Jim Gibson of Tennessee; many niece; nephews; other extended family and friends.

Visitation: In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, Ill. A Masonic Service will be held at p.m.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
