Wayne I. Wysong, 90, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 11, 1925, in Freeborn County, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Swansea, Ill.
Mr. Wysong proudly served his country in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, during World War II. He was a truck driver and mechanic during his career. He enjoyed the sound of an engine and the art of working on them. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wysong, nee Biver; his parents, AJ and Hattie, nee Schneider, Wysong; three brothers, James, Gerald and Allen; and a sister, Alice.
Surviving are his children, Roger Wysong of Swansea, Ill., and Kathy (Andy) Lucy of Hickman, Ky.; his grandchildren, Sean and Ian Lucy; a sister, Ruth Thompson of West Plains, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
