Willa Rae Hollingshead, 83, formerly of Maryville, Ill., born January 9, 1932, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at the Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab Center, Edwardsville, Ill.

Rae was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a past Maryville Village board member, having been the first lady elected. She was a member of the High Ridge, MO VFW Auxiliary, and at one time was a Jefferson Barracks Hospital volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane "Bo" Hollingshead; and her parents, Grover W. and Elizabeth, nee Hackney, Greer.

She is survived by four sons, Robert (Cindy) Hollingshead of Maryville, Ill., Marty, Frank and Michael Hollingshead of Collinsville, Ill., five grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Smith of Kansas City, Mo., Aaron Hollingshead of Kansas City, Mo., Austin (Jamie) Hollingshead of Collinsville, Ill., Emily (Chris) Bohnemeier of Maryville, Ill., and Ashly (Joe) Huber of Glen Carbon, Ill.; and nine great grandchildren, Jackson, Iva, Tillie, Paige, Colin, Lucca, Kayla, Conrad, and Jase.

Visitation: Memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, Ill.

Funeral: Memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, Ill., with Pastor Kendra Nolde officiating. Rae will be buried with her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo., at a later date.
