William "Bill" Henry Haug, 82, of Granite City, Ill., born on Aug. 7, 1934 in Brussels, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Bill was a United States Army veteran who proudly served his country. On May 9, 1964, Bill married Betty Milkovich, the love of his life, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granite City, IL. Bill had worked for Tri-City Bakery as a baker for fourteen years. He then went to work for and retired from Granite City Steel as a laborer in the blast furnace division. He enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing and solving crossword puzzles. He was also a St. Louis Blues hockey fan and a St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Bill will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Gertrude, nee Hanneken, Haug; infant son, David William Haug; two brothers, Alfred and Leroy Haug; and sister, Ann Marie (Bill) Crouch.
Surviving are his devoted wife, Betty Haug; loving daughters, Donna Haug and Kathy Haug all of Granite City, Ill.; dear sisters-in-law, Jackie Haug, Helen Milkovich and Stephanie Milkovich; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: In celebration of his life, a funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Granite City, Ill., with Father Jeff Holtman officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
