Clarence H. Ovelgoenner, 83, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Sunday, May 11, 1930, on the family farm in Caseyville Township, Ill., died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Clarence was a retired scheduler for S.C.I., a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Fairview Heights, Ill., and a Korean War Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Matilda, nee Niebruegge, Ovelgoenner; a son, Blaine Ovelgoenner; brother, Alvin Ovelgoenner; and sisters, Velma Baldus and Mildred Davinroy.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy A., nee Kelley, Ovelgoenner of Fairview Heights, Ill.; daughters, Lisa K. Neal of St. Jacob, Ill., and Kristen A. (Nelson) Wright of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Troy, Laura and Dakota Neal, and Slater and Carson Wright.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at St. John United Church of Christ, with Rev. Jim Nolan officiating. Private family interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
