Ervin Himmighoefer

Ervin Henry Himmighoefer, 91, of Belleville, Ill., born Aug. 8, 1922, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Himmighoefer was a retired self-employed plasterer. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a Purple Heart recipient.

He was preceded in death by two wives; his parents, Walter H. Sr., and Mary, nee Hedwig, Himmighoefer; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation: Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug Stewart officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
