Bryleigh Nicole Greene, 4, of Granite City, Ill., passed away at 7:30 p.m. at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., on Saturday, March 1, 2014, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Dec. 14, 2009, in Clayton, Mo., a daughter of Theresa Ann Godwin of Granite City, Ill., and Jarrett Greene of Granite City, Ill. She was a member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City, Ill., where she enjoyed being a part of the Calvary Cruisers. She was a princess, who loved animals and enjoyed playing with her dolls and Hello Kitty. She loved playing with her big brother, Ethan and her cousin, A.J. She was the first granddaughter and was known as "Papa's Princess." Our miracle baby's bright eyes and infectious smile will forever live in our hearts.
In addition to her beloved mother and father, she is survived by grandparents, Cindy and Mark Reynolds of Granite City, Ill., and Francis Godwin Jr., of O'Fallon, Mo.; great-grandparents, James Shemwell of Granite City, Ill., Mary Jo Reynolds of Florissant, Mo., and Larry Reynolds of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; aunt and uncle, Sarah Reno and Ben Reno; loving friend, Jason Fitzgibbons; special cousins, A.J., C.J. and Ella; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her precious angel brother, Ethan James Price, she was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Sarah Shemwell and Fats and Eleanor Godwin.
Memorials may be made to the family and may be accepted at the funeral home.
Visitation: In celebration of their precious lives, friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. March 6, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services for her and her brother will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Maynard officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.
