Marvin J. Jehling, 92, of Columbia, Ill., born Jan. 27, 1922, in Fountain, Ill., passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Columbia Rehab and Nursing Center in Columbia, Ill.
Marvin was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, Ill. He had served in the U.S. Navy, and was a veteran of World War II. He was retired as the office manager from National Auto Supply.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah, nee Kolmer, Jehling, whom he married on May 18, 1946, in Waterloo, Ill., and who died Oct. 16, 2003; his parents, Phillip and Wilhelmina, nee Frank, Jehling; a sister, Rose Bardeleben; and brothers, Arthur, Joseph and Earl Jehling.
Surviving are his son, Thomas J. (Barbara) Jehling of Pauma Valley, Calif.; daughter, Barbara (Don Schult) Jehling of Columbia, Ill.; grandchildren, John Thomas and Lindy Rae Jehling; niece, Nancy Cash; nephew, Don Jehling; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 31, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. Interment will follow in the Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, Ill.
