Doris A. Wade, nee Scheibel, 85, of Belleville, Ill., born Jan. 20, 1929, in Belleville, Ill., died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at St. Paul's Home, Belleville, Ill.
Doris had worked as a title examiner and processor. She was a member of St. Henry's Parish, Belleville, Ill., and the Ladies' Club at the church. In 1979, she was named Honorary Grand Marshal of the Catholic school picnic in Belleville. Doris was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 370 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles "Pat" Wade, whom she married on Sept. 22, 1951, and who died Dec. 9, 1999; a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Wade; her parents, Roy M. and Gladys A., nee Villemain, Scheibel; a sister-in-law, Georgette Scheibel; and a brother-in-law, Vince Ferreri.
Surviving are two daughters, Patty (Rick) Stevens and Beth (Joe) Gore, both of Swansea, Ill.; a son, Kevin (Marlene) Wade of Fairview Heights, Ill.; six grandchildren, Matt (Kari) Stevens, Kelly Kearbey, Jessica Gore, and Miranda, Tyler, and Travis Wade; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Ehret and Evan and Camden Stevens; a brother, Neil Scheibel of Belleville, Ill.; three sisters, Rita Ferreri of Shiloh, Ill., Verla (William) Hiller of Shiloh, Ill., and Lois (Wes) Heintz of Belleville, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, at St. Henry's Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth York officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
