Charles Lonsdale

Charles Walter Lonsdale, 74, of Caseyville, Ill., born June 2, 1939, in Belleville, Ill., died at his home Sunday, March 30, 2014, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Lonsdale was the founder and owner of Chemical Concepts, Inc., Belleville, IL. He continued working as long as his illness allowed. He was a graduate of both Belleville Township High School, Belleville, Ill., and the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Fla. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. His great passions included boats and cars.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mota, nee Stocks, Lonsdale; and his father, George W. Lonsdale.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Kathy, nee Isler, Lonsdale; two sons, Robert (Cara) Lonsdale of Swansea, Ill., and Brian (Sheri) Lonsdale of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and his beloved grandchildren, whom he always wanted close, and who held the keys to his heart, Taylor Lonsdale, Brendan Lonsdale, Kylie Lonsdale, Tori Lonsdale, Drew Lonsdale, Emily Lonsdale, and Parker Lonsdale.

Funeral: According to Mr. Lonsdale's wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service and burial will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
