Dixie Simonian

Dixie Simonian, nee Tourijigian, 95, of Broomfield, Colo., born Sept. 22, 1918, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Broomfield Skilled Nursing & Rehab.

Dixie worked as a private secretary for the Federal Government.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Simonian; her children, Patricia Simonian and John Simonian; her parents, Mesag and Mary, nee Avarian, Tourijigian; a brother, Lawrence Tourijigian; and two sisters, Lalezar "Lolly" Maksudian and Mary Maksudian.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Taj Jerry Mahabub, James Simonian, John Simonian, Peter Simonian, Amy McGregor and Melissa Rakvica; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may attend from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Rev. Dr. John Dawson officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
