Gary Schuline

Gary Joe Schuline, 71, of Belleville, Ill., born May 8, 1942, in Belleville, Ill., died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Schuline retired as a history teacher from Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville, Ill., where he had also been the freshman football coach.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Ann Marie, nee Pulvirenti, Schuline, whom he married Aug. 14, 1965, and who died April 7, 2007; and his parents, Nicholas and Eleanor, nee Schmittling, Schuline.

Surviving are two sons, Gary Jr. "Jay" (Ellen) Schuline of Flintville, Tenn., and Robyn (Michelle) Schuline of Bloomington, Ill; five grandchildren, Kaycee, Nathan, Jonah, Jenna, and Megan Schuline; and his significant friend, Marilyn Warhover of O'Fallon, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: A memorial Mass will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the church with Rev. Kenneth York officiating. A reception will folow at the Althoff Catholic High School cafeteria, Belleville, Ill.
