Mary Margaret VerBryck, nee Dortch, 82, of Granite City, Ill., born June 8, 1931, in Granite City, Ill., passed away at 10:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Granite Nursing and Rehabilitation in Granite City, Ill.
Mrs. VerBryck was a dedicated and faithful homemaker and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie VerBryck; parents, William and Mamie, nee Hutchinson, Dortch; and many brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Wallace M. VerBryck, whom she married on Oct. 21, 1950; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kim Blum of Granite City and Shelley and Larry McCormick of Collinsville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Dan Cieslinski of Denver, N.C., Jeremy and Niki McCormick of Collinsville, Chad and Angelyn McCormick of Alexandria, Va., Josh Blum of Granite City and Nick Blum of Granite City; a great-granddaughter, Kennedi McCormick; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation: In celebration of her life, visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at the funeral home with Reverend Charles West officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.
