Margaret Rita Brown, nee Stogner, 83, of Collinsville, Ill., born on Nov. 4, 1930 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away, Monday, June 9, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Margaret was a retired telephone operator. She was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elston Earl "Stub" Brown, whom she married on May 26, 1953, at St. Phillips Church Rectory, East St. Louis, Ill.; her parents, Louis and Mary, nee Manion, Stogner; seven brothers, William, Donald (Thelma), Louis Franklin, Virgil, Paul, Johnny and Bobby Stogner; two sisters, Lessie (Paul) Rongey and Mary Lou Stogner.
Surviving are her son, Earl (Telisa) Brown of Pearland, Tex.; two grandchildren, Evyn (Caleb) Solano and Ashlyn Brown; a sister, Mona (George) Peach of O'Fallon, Ill.; loving sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Fr. John Beveridge officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
