Clarence Schuchardt Sr.
Clarence Ervin Schuchardt, Sr., 81, of Belleville, Ill., born May 9, 1933, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Clarence was a loyal loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a proud, strong quiet man with love for his family and his garden. He was a member and past trustee of the Belleville Moose Lodge 1221 for over 60 years. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, the Millstadt Sportsman Club and the Southside Association. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and watching or listening to baseball.
Clarence was preceded in death by his son, Clarence E. Schuchardt, Jr.; parents, Raymond and Harriett, nee Conowall, Schuchardt; and a brother, Leroy L. Schuchardt.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Margie Schuchardt, nee Sutter; children, Howard (Starla) Schuchardt and Barbara O'Loughlin; grandchildren, Cody Schuchardt and Lance Cpl. Hunter Schuchardt of the United States Marine Corps; and a sister, Marylou Young.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the funeral home. Interment in Valhalla Gardens of Memory will be held privately.
