James Hubert

James M. Hubert (Jim, Hubee), 60, of Trenton Ill., born March 10, 1954 in East St. Louis Ill., died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at home in Trenton, Ill.

Jim was an auto body repair technician. He enjoyed improving cars at work and in his free time, and had hopes of spending some of his retirement restoring the 1932 Chevy he bought years ago. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists union and retired from Dave Sinclair Buick in 2010. Jim graduated from Assumption Catholic High School and became certified in auto repair, earning a variety of certifications, at Ranken Technical Institute. He participated in soccer, bowling and basketball when he was younger, and played softball until his health prevented it. Jim collected albums and bar signs, and liked to camp and travel. He enjoyed being with family and friends more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Nita (nee Petty) LeFrancois; his sister-in-law, Diana (nee Bequette) Hubert; and great-nephew, Nathan Hubert.
