Mabel Louise French, nee Rick, 87, of O'Fallon, Ill., born on March 9, 1927, in Burksville, Ill., passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Mabel worked as a waitress for Fairmont Racetrack, and was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie, nee Weihl, Rick; her husband, Lloyd French; a daughter, Brenda French; two brothers, Robert Rick and Elmer Rick; and a sister Esther Rick.
Surviving are her daughters, Beverly (Robert) Welch of Fairview Heights, Ill., Betty (Roy) Lansing of Burlington, Iowa, Bonnie (Gary) Rohr of O'Fallon, Ill., and Barbara (Robert) Pfeiffer of O'Fallon, Ill.; a sister, Virginia Bishop of South County, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Carrie Lenear of Fairview Heights, Ill., Jamie Welch of Fairview Heights, Ill., Ryan Lansing of Burlington, Iowa, Tyler Lansing of Burlington, Iowa, Lloyd McDonald of Campbell Hill, Ill., John McDonald of Aviston, Ill., Rita Letterly of Fairview Heights, Ill., Bobbie Jo Brown of Lebanon, Ill., and Steve Pfeiffer of Weston, Wis.; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St. Shiloh, Ill., 62269, with Fr. James Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
