Priscilla Shoreack, 95, of Highland, Ill., born Dec. 21, 1918, in Highland, Ill., died at 9:42 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville, Ill.
Priscilla was born at Deck's Prairie, where she grew up and attended Geiger School. She lived in East Alton for 37 years, then moved to Hickory Flats Area between Highland and Marine since 1975. She had worked at Brown's Cafe in Highland, Marine Shoe Factory, Olin-Western Cartridge in East Alton, and East Alton School District as cafeteria cashier. She enjoyed growing and arranging flowers and baking. She won Grand Champion for her apple pie at the Madison County Fair and may ribbons for her floral arrangements. She loved her family very much and will be missed greatly.
Mrs. Shoreack was former member of Marine UCC, Order of Eastern Star Unity Chapter of Marine, former member of Daughters of American Revolution, Madison County Fair Board (superintendent of floral culture), former member JOY SINGERS, and Marine Home Extension.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton E. Shoreack, whom she married on June 28, 1941, in St. Charles, Mo., and who died May 24, 1997; parents, John M. and Anna E., nee Bader, Donnelly; brothers and a sister, John Donnelly Jr., Urban Donnelly, John Donnelly (infant), Henrietta Spengel, William Donnelly, Spurgeon Donnelly, and Virgil Donnelly; and a foster sister, H. Irene Biggs Busch.
Surviving are her son, Dennis C. (Judy) Shoreack of Granite City, Ill.; daughter, Judy A. (Eugene) Touchette of Highland, Ill.; grandchildren, James D. Shoreack of East Alton, Ill., Paula R. (Jeff) Meier of Highland, Ill., Tina M. Eldridge of East Alton, Ill., and Ryan C. McBride of Highland, Ill.; step-grandchildren, Steven E. Touchette of Granite City, Ill., Geri D. Touchette of Mascoutah, Ill., Daniel L. (Melissa) Saul of Granite City, Ill., Dwayne E. Saul of Granite City, Ill., Scott E. (Jennifer) Touchette of Eugene, Ore., and Michelle L. (John) Diehl of Fort Smith, Ore.; great-grandchildren, Heather (Joe) Hieke of East Alton, Ill., Jason Eldridge of Bethalto, Ill., Riley McBride of St. Louis, Mo., and Logan McBride of St. Louis, Mo.; step great-grandchildren, Tabitha (Scott) Nolda of St. Peters, Mo., Jacob Saul of Granite City, Ill., Jessica Saul of Granite City, Ill., Joelle Saul of Granite City, Ill., Jessica Touchette of Mascoutah, Ill., Shari Touchette of Mascoutah, Ill., Brendan Wilson of San Diego, Calif., Jonathan Werner of Denver, Colo., Nathan Saul of Granite City, Ill., Maria Saul of Granite City, Ill., Mathew Saul of Granite City, Ill, Thomas Touchette of Eugene, Ore., and Catherine Touchette of Eugene, Ore.; great-great-grandchildren, Autumn Hecke of East Alton, Ill., and Chole Hecke of East Alton, Ill.; step great-great-grandchild, Christy Nolda of St. Peters, Mo.; and sisters-in-law, Amanda Donnelly of St. Charles, Mo., and Jeanne Donnelly of Farmington, Mich.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, and 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home, Highland, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Christopher W. Hill officiating. Interment will be at Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, Ill.
