Margaret Bevirt

Margaret T. Bevirt, nee Madden, 74, of O'Fallon, Ill., born Feb. 23, 1940, in Corby, Northamptonshire, England, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Mrs. Bevirt was a legal secretary retired from the law office of Boyle Brasher. She attended St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill. Margaret was a member of the British Club. She enjoyed going out to lunch and crafting with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary, nee Riley, Madden; and a sister, Kitty.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Dennis Bevirt, whom she married in 1964; two daughters, Denise (Ron) Trelow of O'Fallon, Ill., and Andrea (Ron) Schmittling of Edwardsville, Ill.; four granddaughters, Carly, Alyssa, and Brooke Trelow, and Paige Schmittling; a brother, Hugh; three sisters, Mary, Pat, and Eileen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill., with Msgr. James Margason officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
