Rachel M. Kerwin, 21, of Mascoutah, Ill., born April 10, 1991, in Belleville, Ill., died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Rachel was currently a student at SIU-Edwardsville and employed as a server at Eckert's Restaurant in Belleville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Billy J. Kerwin; and maternal grandfather, George E. Flach.
Surviving are her parents, David E. and Marie A., nee Flach, Kerwin of Mascoutah, Ill.; two sisters, Amanda (Kevin) Buckman and Jennifer (Lee) Mutschler, both of Mascoutah, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Ashley and Dylan Buckman and Lucia, Luke and Lilliana Mutschler; paternal grandmother, Sandra Kerwin of Carlyle, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Elsie Flach of Granite City, Ill.; several aunts, uncles and two beloved cats, Kilo and Marley.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, and 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Moll Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m. Friday.
Funeral: A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with the Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
