Carrie Breding Obituary
A tragic drowning accident took Carrie's life on the Gulf Shores of Foley, Ala. She was born Feb. 21, 1983, in St. Louis Mo., and passed on June 29, 2012. She had a adamant love of her horses and was superior at horsemanship. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She cared for all she loved and was loved by all who cared for her.
Carrie married Mark Breding on Sept. 1, 2011, in Sulphur Springs, Texas and the couple made their home in Quitman, Texas with Marks children John, Rebekah, Savannah, Noah, Hayden and Jacob and Carries daughter, Carrle Hill.(father Tony Hill of Alba, Texas).
She was preceded in death by her identical twin, Ellen Armstrong; sister, Kimberly Dawn; her paternal grandparents Robert and Margaret Jane Armstrong; her maternal grandparents, Henry and Dorothy Pees; and uncle, Henry H. Pees Jr.
Surviving are her father, Richard Armstrong of Quitman Texas; her paternal step sisters, Rhonda and Debra Jean McGrew of Louisville, Ky.; her paternal aunts, Roni Lancaster and cousin, Clay Lancaster of Skykook Okla., Jane (Dan) Gilliland of Skykook, Okla., and Robert Armstrong Jr., of Waller, Texas and cousins, Jeremy and Jeffrey Armstrong.
Also surviving are her mother, Cathy Pees-Armstrong; maternal brother, John Thomas Gerken III, of League City, Texas; son, Jacob Wright and daughter, Chyna Wright, both of St. Louis, Mo., and Jennifer Adams(Scott) of League City, Texas; daughter, Jordan and son, Jayden; her maternal aunt, Carol (Jim) Tremaine of League City, Texas; cousins, Amy (Joey) Sawyer, Katy and Jacob, James Tremaine(Jennifer) Taryn and Camryn, all of League City, Texas, Elizabeth Tremaine of League City, Texas; aunt, Cindy Theis of Freeburg, Ill.; cousins, Jeremy Theis (Katie) Blake, Reese, Mason and McKinley, all of Florissant, Mo., Jason Theis of Florissant, Mo., Jessie Theis of Rosharon, Texas and her son, Emmit; maternal uncle, Charlie Pees Sr., of Belleville, Ill.; cousin, C.J. Pees and his son, Nathan of Belleville, Ill., Cody and Claire Pees of Freeburg, Ill.
Surviving are her dear and cherished life long girlfriends, Candace Sharringhausen of Belleville, Ill., Mellissa Moore of Belleville, Ill., and Casey Woody Horton of League City, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family has set up a Grow Up savings plan for Carrie's daughter Carrle E. Hill at Regions Bank and is payable to Carrle E. Hill.
Funeral: Services and burial are being held on Thursday, July 5, 2012, in Quitman Texas.

Mark - My friend Scott and I were on the beach that evening, I am glad to have been there to help Noah and your daughter. I cannot begin to express in mere words my condolences to your family, and what a profound impact that evening has had on my life. My prayers are for you, and all of your family, in this tragic loss of your beloved wife Carrie.

To Carrie's Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. My family will be forever touched by this tragedy. My husband, Scott Higdon, brought Carrie to shore and had moments of wondering if he would survive as he did so. He continues to be haunted by that night. The only comfort is that he and his friend, Butch Fane, were able to safely rescue Savannah and Noah. We pray for you all and hope that you will find peace and comfort at this horrible time.
