Lora Mengersen
Lora Lou Mengersen, nee Jones, 82, of Carlyle, Ill., born Friday, Oct. 24, 1930, in East Saint Louis, Ill., died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, Ill.
Lora was a retired packer for Edison Brothers. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Mengersen Sr.; parents, Olen and Alice, nee Howard, Jones; son, Harold J. Mengersen Jr.; and sister, Doris Feazel.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia (Steve) Wieland of Springfield, Ill.; sisters, Lana (Jacob) Feazel of Freeburg, Ill., and Kay (Sigmund "Cotton") Zakszewski of Alhambra, Ill.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Lemme, Trisha (Josh) Utterback and Stephen Wieland; great-grandchildren, Lauryn Lemme, Evan Lemme, Rylan Utterback and Gavin Utterback; sister-in-law, Vivian Mengersen; nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Terry Feazel officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
