Melody D. Diliberto, nee Lane, was born April 9, 1955, in Long Beach, Calif. She passed away, at age 57, on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at her home in Lebanon, Ill., surrounded by her loving family. Her death resulted from the cancer that she had successfully battled for 27 years.
On Sept. 15, 1973, Melody married Joseph A. Diliberto in Long Beach, Calif. Melody attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Mo. Joe and Melody's years in the United States Air Force took them from California to Missouri, Ohio, Illinois and Texas. They chose to stay in Lebanon, Ill. when Joe retired from the Air Force in 2000.
Melody is survived by her husband, Joe Diliberto of Lebanon, Ill.; children, Amanda (Tyler) Daniels of El Paso, Texas and Adam Larissa) Diliberto of Swansea, Ill.; grandchildren, Aria Bella and Giuliana Daniels; her parents, Walter Lane of Lebanon, Ill., and Opal Cornelius of Garden Grove, Calif.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon, Ill.
Funeral: A memorial service celebrating Melody's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the church. A light luncheon in the Fellowship Hall will follow the service.
