James Flannery III
James Patrick Flannery III of Belleville, Ill., born Jan. 4, 1933, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, surrounded by family.
Jim was the retired owner of Flannery Concrete Company and was a United States Army veteran. He proudly served his country during the Korean war. Jim was a talented golfer, winning many local tournaments through the years. He was also an avid card player, most recently at the P.S.O.P.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James P. Jr. and Alicia, nee Sheridan, Flannery; his wife of 51 years, Martha Ann, nee McKinley, Flannery; a granddaughter, Morgan Wright; a son-in-law, Allen Toberman; and his parents-in-law, Gilbert and Louise McKinley.
Surviving are his daughters, Erin Ringsmuth, Beth Toberman and Christy Wright; his grandchildren, Rachel Flannery, Craig Toberman, and Sheridan Wright; two great-granddaughters, Brynn and Briley; his sister, Judith (Kenneth) Whitehead; a brother-in-law, Ed (Kathy) McKinley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank The Atrium Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Cahokia, Ill., for the wonderful loving care given to our dad and our family. We would also like to thank Family Hospice for their care, consideration, and assistance to all of us.

Funeral: A Mass in memory of Jim will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday May 10, 2013, at Blessed Sacrament Church. Jim donated his body to science.
