Jerry Munro

Jerry L. Munro, 57, of Dorsey, Ill., born Thursday, Aug. 9, 1956, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Ill.

Jerry worked as a communication specialist for World Wide Technologies. He was a member of East Lodge 504 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Shrine, Ainad Drum Corp. Jerry was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his mother, T. Yvonne, nee Lamb, Geshwender.

Surviving are his wife, Sherry, nee Birdsong, Munro; children, Jeremy (Tracy) Bailey of O'Fallon, Ill., Amanda (Justin) Schmitt of Benld, Ill., and Tavis (Sara) Munro of Collinsville, Ill.; father, Jimmy J. (Sharon) Munro of St. Louis, Mo.; brothers, John (Cristy) Munro of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Jimmy Munro of Troy, Ill.; sister, Jane (Jess) Crum of Edwardsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Mikayla, Jonathan, Caroline, Benjamin, and Olivia due in January 2014; and step-grandchildren, Logan and Cadence.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday Oct. 18, 2013, at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill. A Drum Corp walk through will be held at 7:15 p.m.

Funeral: Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday Oct. 18, 2013, at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville. Private family interment will be held.
