James L. Petty, 66, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 9, 1947, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home, Edwardsville, Ill.
James was a roller for Spectrulite Consortium in Madison, Ill. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a member of VFW Post 5691 in Collinsville, Ill., and the NRA. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Helen, nee Chiarottino, Petty; and a brother, Don Petty.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Petty, nee Schneider of Collinsville, Ill.; a brother, Jack (Debbie) Petty of Collinsville, Ill.; two sisters, Cynthia Petty of Collinsville, Ill., and Paula (Doug) Hartmann of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Jackie Petty of Collinsville, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephew; and his two best friends, Baby and Midge.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill. Interment with full military honors will be held in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
