Dorothy A. Fiedler, nee Quirin, 91, of Belleville, Ill., born April 23, 1922, in Prairie du Long Township, Ill., died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at St. Paul's Home, Belleville, Ill.
During World War II, while her husband, Pete, served in the U.S. Army, Dorothy worked at the St. Louis Army Ammunition Plant in the production of small arms ammunition and 105 mm artillery. After the war, she worked as a butcherette for Kroger Grocery. With the birth of their daughter in 1954, Dorothy became a stay-at-home mom and full-time homemaker. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Marcellus "Pete" Fiedler, whom she married on July 29, 1943, and who died on April 18, 2009; an infant son, Steven Fiedler; her parents, Charles and Theresa, nee Euler, Quirin; six sisters, Lillian Grohmann, Edna Tolan, Elvira Stahl, Viola Sauer, Shirley Quirin, and Pearl Quirin; and a brother, Oliver Quirin.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Ransom Wuller of Belleville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Sara (Jared) Case and Ryan (Jessica) Wuller; two great-grandsons, Ransom Case and Richmond Case; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial for both Dorothy and Marcellus Fiedler will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at St. Henry Catholic Church with the Rev. Kenneth York officiating. Inurnment of both Dorothy's and Marcellus's cremains will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
