Pauline Sunderman

Pauline Elsie Sunderman, nee Koch, 93, of Mascoutah, Ill., born Dec. 3, 1920, in New Hanover, Ill., died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Mrs. Sunderman was a homemaker, member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Ill., Shiloh Valley Grange, Mascoutah VFW Ladies Auxiliary, St. Clair County Farm Bureau, Golden Age and Booster Club of S.A.V.E.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary, nee Meyer, Koch; her husband, Herman H. Sunderman, whom she married in New Hanover, Ill., on May 6, 1945, and who died Feb. 24, 1989; four sisters, Mable, Olinda, Alfreda, and Clara; and two brothers, Henry, and Louis.

Surviving are her five children, Judy Forbes and friend, Bob Korves of Waterloo, Ill., Dolores (Thomas) McConnell of Fairview Heights, Ill., Roger (Debbie) Sunderman of Mascoutah, Ill., Joyce (Mark) Wilhelm of Belleville, Ill., and Dennis Sunderman of Belleville, Ill.; four granddaughters, Corie (Mike) McKean of Sunset Hills, Mo., Erica (Steve) Filla of Mascoutah, Ill., Susan and Sarah Sunderman of Mascoutah, Ill.; six great-grandchildren, Shannon, Matthew and Natalie McKean, and Victoria, Constance and E. J. Hodge; a brother-in-law, Vernon Sunderman of California; nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, Ill.

Friends may also call from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Ill., with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, Ill.
