Kenneth Luzio

Kenneth F. Luzio, 83, of Shiloh, Ill., born May 24, 1930 in Boston, Mass., passed away Jan. 30, 2014.

He was a Korean War veteran of the Army and Air Force. Ken had worked for Frisco Railroad and owned Ken's Catering Service. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus in Council No. 4596 Cahokia, the American Legion Post No. 784 in Cahokia, Ill., and Frisco Alumni Assoc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Estell; his sister, Claire Walsh; and his daughter, Tina Marie Greathouse.

Surviving are his children, Timothy (Mary) Luzio, Tammy Kennedy and Todd Luzio; five grandsons, two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014, at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Shiloh, Ill. The Knights of Columbus will conduct a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at the church, with the Rev. James Deiters presiding. Luncheon at church at noon Friday, followed by burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
