Gary Risman Obituary
Gary Stephen Risman, 58, of St. Jacob, Ill., born on December 5, 1958 in Granite City, Ill., passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Highland, Ill.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting. He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend, who will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Janice "Jan" Risman, nee Thompson, of St. Jacob, Ill.; his daughters, Nadine Risman of Madison, Ind., and Kelsey Lynn Risman of Starkville, Miss.; his father, Rudy L. (Mildred) Risman; mother, Eleanor E. Risman, nee Bargiel; a sister, Ann Marie (Rusty) Brusenhan, of Centennial, Colo.; a step brother, Mark (Judy) Woehrle, of Peoria, Ariz.; a step sister, Linda (Dan) Hlaca, of St. Louis, Mo.; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are appreciated to Illinois Wildlife Preservation Fund through the department of natural resources. Condolences may be expressed online at www.lakeviewfuneralhm.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Services: Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 at the funeral home with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Gary, has been a good friend and neighbor. He will truly be missed by everyone that knew him. I have always admired Gary, he was always busy, had the ability to fix anything and always there when I needed something.

I am a driver out of Tulsa, I would see Gary 3-4 times a week at Marshfield. Gary was a great guy and will be missed by Us all. So sorry for your loss and am praying that God will wrap his arms of comfort around you in this time of mourning.
