Mick was preceded in death by his mother and father (Mike Sr. and Natalia), brothers Duane and Joe. He leaves behind his loving wife, Maxine and his 3 children: Marlyn & Ted Keller, Helen Burns, Dale & Debbie Ferry, his brother Frank Ferry, as well as his step children Steve & Candace Pottle, Cindy Pottle and Lyn & Bob Johnson. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Bellingham Elks Lodge for 47 years & major contributor to the "Cow Dung" fundraiser event and was also known for his infamous "cane". He was also a member of the American Legion; spent 18 months in the U.S. Army at Fort Lewis prior to marrying in 1947; he retired from Ferry Brothers on Portal Way in Ferndale in 1991. Mick's hobbies included being an avid fisherman, bowling with the Elks, traveling the U.S. with Maxine in their fifth wheel - loving his new Dodge truck - and if you ever needed to find him, he could be found on the Nooksack River bank or in the woods chopping firewood to keep warm in the long, cold winter months. He loved meeting the guys for coffee at Babe's. He was well-liked by all he came in contact with and always loved a good joke. Memorial services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Greenacres Memorial Park in the Chapel, 5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale, WA.
