(1912 to 2012)
The lord called Ellen Einarson, 100 years of age, to her heavenly home from Bellingham on Veteran's Day. Her earthly life began in the little mining town of Philipsburg in the Montana Rockies. She was the fifth of six children born to Swedish immigrants, Gus and Anna Krutar. Ellen outlived her siblings Art, Rudy, Vi, Es and Ches and their spouses. She grieved the loss of husbands, Del and Aus, son Lance and infant daughter Aleta, infant grandson Tim, and sons-in-law Bryant and Kaj. Ellen was adored by a large family of a son and daughter, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces and their families and numerous friends. Her survivors are son Brett (Noma) Lane and daughter Britt of California; daughter Lynn Sorensen of Abbotsford and children: Melody; Eric and children: Michael, Nathan, Chelsea (Evan) and Levi; Corby and children; Corby, Lindsey (Tony) and children: Lucius and Wyatt, Loreli and her child, Molly Ann; Ellaina (Spencer) and children: Kevin, David and Steven; Sharleen and children: Darren, Erin and her child Jacob.
Extended families include the Houwelings of Abbotsford and in North Carolina, Juanita and her sons, Brian and Jesse; Ned and his sons, Daniel and Jeff; and Ellen's dear long-time friend, Grace Higgerson of New Jersey. Ellen was given professional and loving care by her nursing and assistant teams where she lived on the west wing of Bellingham Care and Rehab Centre. Her family owes a debt of gratitude and appreciation to this dear hard-working group.

Such happy memories of all of us growing up on W. Maplewood ... Ellen was such a wonderful lady ... one of my fond memories was of our Mom putting pin curls in Ellen's hair, all over her head, rather than using rollers ... And the neighborhood pinochle games! I know Mom considered Ellen a good friend. Our condolences to all of you ... we lost Mom this year as well, so we know it's a tough time for you all. God bless and comfort you ...
