Jack N. Baldwin of Lummi Island answered the Master's call on June 6, 2016 in Bellingham, WA. Jack was born in Blaine, Washington to John H. Baldwin and Eva M. (Kandler) Baldwin and spent his life in Whatcom County. After graduating from Bellingham High School in 1950 he went to work for Wilder Construction Co. where he worked as a heavy equipment operator until retirement. In 1952 he married Beverly Peel and shortly thereafter was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served as a Corporal in the Signal Corps at an army radio relay station near Pusan, Korea. He was a Past Master of Ferndale Lodge F. & A.M. and was a Past Patron of Ferndale Chapter #223 Order of Eastern Star. Jack loved his work and said there was never a day he was not happy to be on the job. He spent many hours on his boats salmon fishing and cruising the San Juans and playing with his backhoe on Lummi Island. Jack was a kind and gentle man, a loving husband and father. He especially loved his two grandchildren and spent many happy hours with them. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brother James L. (Bud) Baldwin. He is survived by his wife Beverly, his daughters Grace Baldwin and Rachel Lee (Brian), grandchildren Lindsay and Jacob Lee; his sister Marion DeKoekkoek (Gerard), and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale. The Rev. Jonathan Weldon will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Lummi Island Firefighters Association, P.O. Box 130, Lummi Island, WA 98262. Please share memories of Jack at molesfarewelltributes.com

Hi Beverly, I am really sorry for your loss. A lot of years have passed since we all graduated.
Jack was a wonderful guy and I know you are missing him hugely right now.
I hope to move back to Bellingham soon and it would be wonderful to catch up over lunch.
Much love to you. Donna Costello
