John O. Minge

John O. Minge, 70 of Bellingham, WA passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2011 with his family by his side at his home in Bellingham. John was born to Marvin and Bertha Minge on August 29, 1940. Mr. Minge lived his entire life in Bellingham and Whatcom County, having graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1958. He spent his career working as an Electrician and was known for always using his many talents to help others. He was an active member of Northwest Baptist church for 50 years, served as a Board member of the Lighthouse Mission, and volunteered countless hours for charitable projects. He was also an avid sportsman - he loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, crabbing and working on his various projects. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was constantly providing a helping hand or words of encouragement. Survivors include his daughter Kimberlee Minge (Bellingham, WA), and sons John C. (Jackie) (Anchorage, AK) and Mark Minge (Acme, WA); five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers Ron (Marilyn) (New Paltz, New York), Michael Ryan-Minge (Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina); and aunts Ruth and Kay (Bellingham, WA). John was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Bertha Minge, step-mother Bernice Minge, and his sister Marna Montoure.
