Edward J. Dowd

Edward J. Dowd Ed was born in and loved New York. He was an active member of Assumption Church and served as a Eucharistic minister to the sick, homebound, and hospitalized. He was a proud Army veteran who served our country in battle during the Korean War. Ed was a proud employee of Bellingham Cold Storage for over 25 years. He was a die hard Yankees fan throughout his life. Ed was a beloved husband of 57 years, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, but most of all he was our best friend. He passed away peacefully at Whatcom Hospice House, where his last days and his passing were beautiful. A Celebration of Ed's life with military honors will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Mon., June 6th at 12 noon followed by a reception across the street at Westford's Broadway Hall.
