Edward Dowd Obituary

Edward J. Dowd Ed was born in and loved New York. He was an active member of Assumption Church and served as a Eucharistic minister to the sick, homebound, and hospitalized. He was a proud Army veteran who served our country in battle during the Korean War. Ed was a proud employee of Bellingham Cold Storage for over 25 years. He was a die hard Yankees fan throughout his life. Ed was a beloved husband of 57 years, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, but most of all he was our best friend. He passed away peacefully at Whatcom Hospice House, where his last days and his passing were beautiful. A Celebration of Ed's life with military honors will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Mon., June 6th at 12 noon followed by a reception across the street at Westford's Broadway Hall. Memorials may be made to Hospice House or Assumption School. You may view photos of Ed and share memories with the family at www.westfordfuneralhome.com.
