Clarence Leroy Vanstone passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012. He was born April 16, 1928, in Crocus Plaines, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Lawrence and Rosa Vanstone. He was predeceased by his brother Charles. He studied at Hillcrest Bible College and graduated from the University of British Columbia where he was a member of Inter -Varsity Christian Fellowship. He married Norma Moller in 1952. They served at the Firs in Bellingham for about two years and for ten years in the Philippines as missionaries with Overseas Missionary Fellowship. They had two children, Jonathan and Ann. Norma passed away in 1972. Clarence taught 5th grade at Meridian Middle School. He served at Victor Sunday School for thirty years. In 1973, he married Dolores Hindman. Since retirement, he was a member of Washington State Retired Teachers, Unit 32, Whatcom County. Clarence worshipped His Heavenly Father through a life-time of service. As a member of Northside Community Church, he served as an elder and as the Treasure's Assistant.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; son, Jonathan; and daughters, Ann Strickland, Linda Swanson, Donna Hindman, predeceased by Karen Arnold; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren Graveside Service, Thu. November 29th 1:00 PM, Greenacres Memorial Park and a Memorial Service, Thu. November 29th 2:00 PM, Northside Community Church, 950 Kline Rd in Bellingham. Memorials may be made to Northside Community Church.
