Don Pederson, age 83, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born on June 22, 1929, in Halstad, Minnesota to Alf and Marit Pederson. The family moved to Bellingham in 1942. Don graduated from Bellingham High School in 1948. He served in the Army from 1951-1953. He married Marilyn Norgaard on October 14, 1952. They were married for 58 years. Don loved life, but most of all he loved his family. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fixing up old cars with his son. Don owned an electrical business for many years. He was a charter member of the Antique Automobile Restorers Club of Bellingham and a member of Triumph Lutheran Church. Don was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, brother Harold, and sisters Mae Lovell and Barbara Aemmer. He is survived by his children Karen (Del) Palmer, Kaye (David) Rossi, Randy Pederson, and Linda Pederson; brothers Art (Audrey), Maynard (Renee), Keith (Virginia); and sister Gloria (Duane) Schenck; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Don's life will be Saturday, February 9, at 11:00 AM at Triumph Lutheran Church, 5719 Church Rd., Ferndale, WA 98248 followed by a graveside committal at Greenacres Memorial Park.
