Dorothy A. Gaska

Born August 9, 1925, our dear sister Dorothy fell asleep in death on April 28, 2011. She is survived by her three sisters: Ellen Ladd, Geneva Pett, and Lucille Wicklund (along with her husband, Ralph) and one brother, Jerry Thomas (along with his wife, Kathy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews -- all of whom were recipients of her deep love and affection. Dorothy savored life and all the joys that it brought, especially the opportunity to study the Bible and strengthen her hope for a future Paradise earth -- a world free from sickness and death, as promised in the Bible at Revelation 21:3-5. She had an undeniable zeal to share that hope with others, which she faithfully did for over 53 years as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. It was this enthusiasm for Bible truths and her unwavering love for her congregation that made her such a valuable treasure to all of us. She will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1525 Electric Ave., Bellingham, WA.
